The Block Board

The Block Board is a handcrafted end-grain cutting board built from shop cutoffs of solid red oak and designed for serious daily use. Measuring approximately 12" × 18" × 2", this board is thick, substantial, and made to protect both knives and surfaces.

End-grain construction allows knife edges to slide between wood fibers rather than cut across them—resulting in a more durable board that naturally resists wear over time. Each board is hand-glued, surfaced, chamfered, and finished with a food-safe oil, highlighting the rich grain variation unique to red oak.
